Career Summary: Dr. Lin-Liu is Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at USC Keck School of Medicine. She received her M.D. in 2001 from University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine) School of Medicine. She did her internship, residency, and became Chief Resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, MA) from 2001–2005. She also undertook a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) in 2003. From 2005–2009, she was an OB/GYN fellow at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (Houston). In addition to her STOP CANCER Award, she is the recipient of the J.G. Moore Award (2006), The Denson Tobola Fellowship in Ovarian Cancer Research (2008), and the Trainee of the Quarter at M.D. Anderson (2008).

Description of research performed: As a physician-scientist, Dr. Lin-Liu is studying links between obesity, inflammation, chronic stress, and cancer, and
endometrial cancer in particular.
Results of research: Dr. Lin-Liu is developing an understanding of the interplay of molecular and environmental factors, along with possible pharmacological interventions, for
endometrial cancer.
